Why to Stake $BGT?

Staking in $BGT is more about active participation in the network than passively earning rewards. By delegating $BGT, owners can actively participate in securing the blockchain, which means they can receive part of the shared network's rewards. In that way, this also supports the validators who are dedicated to developing and securing the ecosystem of Berachain.

Before You Start:

You'll need $BGT: Remember, you can only earn $BGT by providing liquidity, such as on BeraSwap (BEX) or borrowing $HONEY on BEND.

You'll need a compatible wallet: You should have a wallet, for example MetaMask, that must be pre-created and connected to Berachain.

Let's Get Staking: A Step-by-Step Guide

Ready to stake your $BGT and start earning rewards? Here's how to delegate tokens to the validator:

Step 1: Access the BeraHub

Let's start by going to “BeraHub” and connecting the wallet related to Berachain.  This is the central hub for all things related to $BGT, including staking and governance.

Once you've connected your wallet, right on the home page, just below, you'll see the “All Vaults” and “My Vaults” tabs. We need the “My Vaults” tab, where you will see the reward vaults you participate in and your reward in $BGT tokens.

If you haven't done so before, go to each of the pools and click "Claim Rewards". You will receive $BGT tokens, that we’re going to stake.

Step 2: Locate the Validator

On the BeraHub dashboard, navigate to the "Validators" section. Here, you'll find a list of active validators who play a crucial role in Berachain network. Take your time to explore the different options.

While you're welcome to choose any validator, we, at DAIC Capital, would be honored to have your support. You can easily find us on the list as “Coinage x DAIC”.

Step 3: Initiate Delegation

Once you've found “Coinage x DAIC”, click on the profile to view the details. Then, click on the "Delegate +" button.

Step 4: Enter Delegation Amount

In the pop-up window, enter the amount of $BGT you wish to delegate to DAIC. Carefully review the details before proceeding. Click on "Queue Boost". This initiates the delegation process and places your request in a queue.

Step 5: Confirmation

Important: The queue takes a couple of hours to process. This is a standard part of Berachain's delegation system.

Once the queue time has elapsed, you'll see a "Confirm" button. Click it to finalize your delegation. Sign the transaction with your wallet to complete the process.

Congratulations! You've now delegated your $BGT.
