Day 1: Staking Summit

After a 10-hour flight to Bangkok, we finally arrived at 7 a.m., already catching a glimpse of how the week would unfold with back-to-back side events. The traffic was intense, it took us 90 minutes to drive just 10 kilometers to our hotel from the airport. After a short nap, we headed to the Staking Summit, hosted by Staking Rewards, to reconnect with our fellow validators and some of the projects we’ve supported since their testnet days.

We had an insightful conversation with Allora, a promising AI project, learning more about their progress and timeline for approaching mainnet. We also met with the team from Mishti, who are building a wallet on top of Eigenlayer, and caught up with Mantra Chain team members to discuss their plans for onboarding more validators. Stay tuned for updates on that front.

Day 2: Staking Summit

Day 2 started early, as we wanted to attend Vitalik’s keynote at the summit. He shared his vision for the future of ETH staking and his perspective on the broader space. Following the keynote, we had lunch with the co-founder of Exocore, discussing their views on the restaking space and how they’re addressing challenges around aggregating omnichain liquidity.

Later, we attended a panel featuring leading Bitcoin protocol teams, including Botanix, debating whether RWAs should exclusively deploy on Bitcoin. We also had the opportunity to chat with the Botanix team about their mainnet plans, hoping to support them as validators once they launch. Additionally, we reconnected with partners from the Eigenlayer ecosystem, like Othentic and Drosera.

Day 3: NEAR Summit & World Computer Day

The day began at the NEAR Summit, where we coincidentally met some of our current partners. We had a pleasant chat with Ethan from Particle Network, discussing how chain abstraction can solve many of the current UX problems. We also briefly met Scot from Space and Time both when we entered and left the venue, and found time to talk a little about the future potential of Space and Time.

Our second stop of the day was World Computer Day, hosted by megaETH, EigenLayer, and Succinct. So far, it has been the best event of the week—an incredible venue, high-quality talks, great food, and great people. We’re absolutely bullish on megaETH and their approach to making Ethereum great again. The last stop of the day was the after-hours event of WalletConnect. We made a short stop there for some drinks and nice talks before calling it a day.

Day 4: WalletCon & Rejected

First, we headed over to WalletCon hosted by WalletConnect. We gained some cool insights into how they are making wallet accessibility much easier for every tech stack with the SDK they are currently deploying. We also attended a nice panel discussion featuring our partner Botanix Labs and Mezzo, both of whom are building in the Bitcoin ecosystem.

After that event, we went to the Rejected event hosted by Movement, Celestia, Catalyst, and Spicenet. It was a really nice venue—an old airport area—and we met a few good friends and partners like the Initia team and MilkyWay. Afterwards, we headed over to the Selini Capital pool party, where we accidentally bumped into the Berachain team and found time to have a short chat with Smokey.

Day 5: Altlayer Rollup Day, Multichain Garden of Eden & Metamask Builders Night

The day began with an event hosted by one of our partners from the EigenLayer ecosystem. Altlayer, as part of every major conference, organizes a prominent AVS-focused event called "Altlayer Rollup Day." At the event, we connected with many AVS partners, including Bless, Chainbase, Story Protocol, Seda, and others. We gained valuable insights into how future reward distribution will function once they go live.

After spending a few hours there, we moved on to the Multichain Garden of Eden, an event hosted by another partner, Initia. We are part of their Genesis set for when they launch. We attended an engaging panel discussion on the current VC landscape and had the chance to meet around 10 members of the Initia team, all of whom were approachable, kind, and great to talk to.

The final event of the day was the Metamask Builders Night. While usually a highlight, this edition in Bangkok fell short of expectations—it was overly crowded, and the venue choice was less than ideal. Unsurprisingly, we didn’t stay long and headed back to the hotel, wrapping up the day a bit earlier than usual.

Day 6: Hot Take by Shogun, AVS Day by Consensys and Eigenlayer & Monad Madness

The day started at a pool party hosted by Shogun, a DEX/trading aggregator that plans to deploy on Berachain along with other chains. We enjoyed some cocktails and relaxed before heading to AVS Day, where we reconnected with many of our partners from the EigenLayer ecosystem for meaningful discussions.

Later, we attended Monad Madness, an event where we received updates about their current progress, testnet plans, and upcoming mainnet launch. We’re excited to support their testnet rollout in the near future.

Day 7: Injective summit & sequencing day

On the last day, we prepared to wrap up a series of intense yet rewarding days. The morning began at the Injective Summit, where we learned we had been dropped from their active set in favor of a Web2 company. We attended to understand what steps we could take to rejoin the active set. They informed us about a major restructuring planned for 2025, which will involve a shift towards incorporating more Web2 companies.

The final event of the week was Sequencing Day, where we encountered several innovative projects. While not directly relevant to us as an infrastructure provider, the event showcased promising advancements for the rollup space as a whole.
