About IKA
The blockchain landscape has grown into a collection of powerful but isolated ecosystems. Existing cross-chain solutions like federated MPC systems and bridges have tended to offer a trade-off between decentralization, security, and performance, which has resulted in billions of dollars of losses and constraining innovations.
IKA emerges as the solution to this critical challenge. It is a revolutionary infrastructure level on the Sui blockchain that brings the world the very first sub-second Multi-Party Computation (MPC) network powered by its brand-new 2PC-MPC protocol. With it, developers can construct apps that can manage assets on any large blockchain seamlessly and natively, including Bitcoin and Ethereum, directly out of Sui smart contracts - all with zero risk of the bridges or the wrapped tokens.
By enabling this new paradigm of secure interoperability, IKA unlocks the next generation of DeFi, decentralized custody, and AI-powered applications. It launched its mainnet in July 2025 and has already gained considerable backing in the industry, having raised more than $21 million led by some of the biggest investors, such as the Sui Foundation and Digital Currency Group (DCG).
What makes IKA special?
What sets IKA apart is its ability to provide native asset control across blockchains at high speed. Unlike traditional bridges that create "wrapped" or synthetic assets, Ika manages the original assets on their native chain. This eliminates a serious security problem and potential point of failure that has long been an issue for the industry.
This is made possible by a combination of groundbreaking innovations:
- Unprecedented Speed and Scalability: Ika features the world's first sub-second MPC network, capable of processing up to 10,000 signatures per second. It can scale to support hundreds or thousands of signer nodes, a greatly enhanced scalability figure over the 4–8 node of typical MPC networks. This is achieved by using broadcast communication instead of the traditional peer-to-peer one that reduces message complexity and overhead.
- Zero-Trust Security by Design: The network's security is rooted in its 2PC-MPC (Two-Party Computation - Multi-Party Computation) protocol. This framework demands cryptographic participation by the user, as well as a threshold of the decentralized network in the signing of every transaction. Thus, it ensures that no entity individually nor colluding group of nodes can independently control or compromise user assets.
- Programmable dWallets for True Interoperability: Ika introduces dWallets - decentralized, transferable, on-chain wallets on Sui that can natively own assets on other blockchains. As programmable objects, they allow developers to build complex logic for DeFi, custody, and gaming, unlocking powerful use cases like "Programmable Bitcoin" without wrapped tokens.

IKA Staking FAQ
What is the IKA token used for?
The IKA token has three core utilities: paying for network operational fees, securing the network through staking, and participating in decentralized governance.
What is the tokenomics of the IKA token?
The primary supply is 10 billion IKA tokens. More than 60% goes to the community, which comprises a 6% initial community airdrop (600 million tokens), 8.25% ecosystem incentive distribution, and 46% community reserve distribution.
What is the IKA token release schedule for the team and early investors?
To ensure long-term alignment with the project's goals, tokens for Core Contributors (the team) and Early Backers are subject to a 3-year lockup period. There are no token unlocks for these groups for the first six months post-launch, with linear monthly unlocks beginning after that.
Where can I buy or trade IKA tokens?
The IKA token is available on both centralized and decentralized exchanges. For the most current list, it's best to check official Ika channels or platforms like CoinMarketCap.
How does IKA differ from a traditional cross-chain bridge?
Instead of "wrapping" the assets by freezing them, IKA makes use of the decentralized MPC network to control the native assets on their own chains directly. It provides native interoperability and also evades the security risk of the solutions that are bridge-based.
How to stake IKA tokens?
Node operators stake IKA tokens as collateral to participate in securing the network. The protocol has also been built with delegated staking where the token holders can delegate to operators, albeit the feature has not gone live yet.
Who is behind the Ika Network?
The core technology was developed by dWallet Labs Ltd.. The ecosystem's growth, including community grants and development support, is coordinated by the Ika Foundation, a non-profit foundation based in Switzerland.
How can developers start building with IKA?
IKA SDK documentation provides guides and API references. For direct support, developers are encouraged to join the Discord community.
